Join us on a ride from Bennet park just on the South side of St. Charles to Oswego and back. Around 33 miles round trip using trails on both sides of the Fox. A beautiful area! Ride will start at 9:00 to get a cooler start, so be there at 8:45 to check in. Around 8-11MPH casual speed, no one left behind but anyone knowing the route is free to ride ahead at your own speed. We will stop in Oswego for a fast lunch if we want to. It is easy for you to ride a shorter route if you like by turning around in Aurora.
Bennett park is about 35-40 minutes from Schaumburg at that time of the morning. Follow RT 59 South and turn West on Stearns Road. Follow Stearns until you can turn South on Rt. 25. Stay on 25 thru St. Charles. (It changes name to 5th Avenue). It merges with Riverside drive along the East side of the Fox river then the name Changes to Bennett rd. From the merge, you will see the small Bennett park on your right in about a half mile. If you get to downtown Geneva, you went a few blocks too far South. (From any direction, just get to St. Charles and follow the river South on the East side of the river). 99% paved trails.
New members – if you have not taken the trails South before, I consider our ride the most beautiful part of the Fox trails!
