Meet us at the Elgin library. We plan to ride south to Philips State Park and Duerr Preserve then back to Elgin. (If wind is from the north and brisk, we may head north to Algonquin instead to have the wind behind us on the return. ) Total of 20 miles. You can easily do less or more depending on your time allowance and how tough your bottom is this early in the season. You can turn around at any point without getting lost. Casual ride, no one left behind.
Please arrive 15 minutes early to prepare.
Reminders: Helmets are expected safety gear. Bike must be in reasonable condition. Guests are welcome to join us for one ride but are expected to join the club for additional rides (insurance requirements). Fountains may still be disabled so bring enough water. Please carry emergency contact info.
Starting Location:
Gail Borden Library, Elgin (270 N Grove Ave, Elgin) Golf Rd west to Grove St. in Elgin. Left on Grove to library on
right. Meet near Ann St in the library parking lot.
