The route consists of starting at
Deer Grove, then riding along the Palatine Trail to Twin Lakes, and then on side
streets to take us across Lake Cook Road (at a stoplight side street) into
Arlington Heights and onto a limestone trail called Buffalo Creek (which is in
Long Grove). We will do a loop around (probably a mile or so), and come out and
go back to Deer Grove. We are not going back the same way we came, which would
then be over 35 miles. After we come out of Buffalo Creek, we are headed
right back to Deer Grove.

Deer Grove Forest Preserve -- First parking lot off of
Dundee Road in Palatine
