Saturday leisure ride
July 13, 2013
9am

This is a leisure ride going 8-10 mph, starting at Deer Grove and riding on the
Palatine Trail to Twin Lakes (which is the lake/park you can see from Route 53).
We will have a short rest/bathroom stop at Twin Lakes (quick snack is fine), and
then head back to Deer Grove. We will either take the Palatine Trail back to
Deer Grove or cut off and take a shorter route back to Deer Grove depending on
how the passenger on my bike is doing. I will be on a "mountain" bike with a
child seat and a child in the seat; so I can pretty much guarantee I won't be
going faster than 10 mph

Starting Location:
starting at Deer Grove
Forest Preserve in Palatine (entrance off of Dundee Road). The entrance is
east of Smith Road and west of Hicks Road. Be there by 8:45 am to get your
bikes ready to ride and to sign in.

Distance: 15-20
Average Speed: 8-10 mph
Leader: Cindy Barba (barbacindy@gmail.com)
