Let's ride the Des Plaines River Trail in Lake County this Saturday morning.
I believe everything has been cleaned up since the spring floods. The trail
in Lake County is in much better condition than the Cook County portion
Starting Location:
Half Day Preserve - Lincolnshire ILL
Directions to the Des Plaines River Trail Ride Start Point at Half Day
Forest Preserve in Lake County:
Half Day Forest Preserve in Lincolnshire is about 21 miles from Schaumburg.
Take Route 53/290 Expressway North to Lake Cook Road.
Go East on Lake Cook Road to Milwaukee Avenue Route 45/21.
Go North on Milwaukee Avenue.
Go about 1.25 miles PAST the Marriott Lincolnshire Resort and Theatre to:
Half Day Forest Preserve on the east (right) side of Milwaukee Avenue (Route
21). Traffic light is at Woodland Hills.
Meet at the first parking lot in from the entrance, by the pond.
