Ride to Lake Geneva (~40 miles round trip)
Where: Whispering Oaks Park, McHenry, IL
When: Saturday, 8/3, 9 AM (Please arrive 15 minutes early to prepare and
sign in.)
How: Casual pace
We'll retrace the route from McHenry to Glacial Park from this past
Saturday, then continue to Richmond, Genoa City, Pell Lake and then Lake
Geneva.
Starting Location:
Directions to Whispering Oaks Park: Take Route 59 North to Route 120
(Belvidere Road). Take Route 120 West into the town of McHenry (it becomes
Elm Street). Stay on Route 120 till you pass Crystal Lake Road then make a
left on Front Royal Drive (one block before the stop light for the trail
crossing). Park near the Fort. Use 4300 Front Royal Ave, McHenry, 60050
for GPS. About 1 hour drive depending on traffic
