Ride to Oswego, Saturday 10/12,
October 12, 2013
1pm

It marks the date that Columbus "discovered" the New World. Come
with me for a ride on Saturday afternoon and we'll try to discover Oswego.
We'll start at Metea Valley High School in Aurora and ride the Illinois
Prairie Path to Elgin and then the Fox River Trail to Oswego. (The high
school is named after Chief Metea of the Potawatomi; one of the peoples that
were already here when Columbus arrived

Starting Location:
Take Route 59 south across I-88. Turn right on Diehl
Road (first intersection south of I-88.) Make a left on Eola Road. Go
under the bridge for the IPP, and the high school will be on the left. I'm
not sure if we'll find restrooms near the high school

Distance: 25
Average Speed: 10-13
Leader: Wayne Heinmiller (heinmiller.il@prodigy.net)
