Our plan is to begin riding at 10:15, heading south about 9-10 miles (approximately to the Shedd Aquarium, 1200 South Lake Shore Drive). We'll turn around there and have a couple of lunch options. One is at Oak Street Beech, another is closer to our cars at the Clock Tower restaurant at Irving Park and the Lake. If you don't want to stop for lunch, it is a short ride from Irving Park to the cars at Wilson Avenue. I haven't timed this ride, but depending on how much sightseeing we do, we expect to be back to Wilson Avenue by 2:30-3:00
Starting Location:
Let's meet at 10:00 (for a 10:15 start) at Wilson Avenue (4600 north) near the Lakefront Trail. There is free parking along Wilson Avenue...east of lake Shore Drive and east of the bike trail.
There are various ways to get to this location. Some might want to take #90 to Irving Park Road. Then east to Sheridan Road, north to Wilson and east to the lakefront. If you are familiar with the city, there are many other options for getting there. It will probably take about an hour from the Schaumburg area. I plan to be there early, so you can spot me along the bike trail at Wilson Avenue. My cell phone is 224-676-8027
