Bike Ride Saturday
October 29, 2016
9 am

Join me for a ride on the Mid-County Trail and then celebrate the opening of
a new bike path on the west side of Elgin this Saturday morning.

Where: Meet in the parking lot in front of the Target (300 S. Randall Rd,
Elgin) near Otter Creek (looks like a drainage ditch).
When: Saturday, 10/29 at 9 AM. (Please arrive 15 minutes early to prepare
and sign in.)
What: Ride the Mid-County Trail south to either Leroy Oakes Preserve or
Primrose Farm (depending on time) and return. Expect about a 20 mile ride.
How: Casual pace, no one left behind.

On the way back we'll stop at Shamrock Park and join the procession back to
Target where there will be a ribbon cutting to celebrate the opening on
South Street and the adjacent bike path. Afterwards there is an option to
return to Shamrock Park for snacks (cider? donuts? hot dogs?).

Forecast for Saturday is sunny and 70!
