10 am
We'll head south on the Prairie Path to Philip State Park, then west to the Fox River and Duerr Forest Preserve, and finally back to Elgin along the Fox River Trail. This loop is about 16 miles. Then I propose a short jaunt to see the new bridge across the Fox River under I-90 before concluding our ride back at the library. We'll take things easy for this ride. No one will be left behind. Let me know you are coming so I don't leave without you. Temps should be in the upper 40's for our ride with light wind.
Starting Location:
We'll start from the Elgin library at 10 am (please arrive 15 minutes earlier to sign in and prepare). The library won't be open yet, so we can stop at the Centre across the street for restrooms (To get to the library in Elgin take Golf/Rt 58 west until it ends at Grove St. Then make a left and the library is just a couple of blocks.)
Distance: | 20+ |
