Join me on Saturday morning for a ride from Schaumburg to Elgin and return.
Or more correctly, we'll start in Hoffman Estates. We'll meet at the
Barrington Road Pond parking lot in Poplar Creek. (It is the parking lot on
Barrington Road with the new bathrooms across from the hospital south of
Higgins/Rt 72.) We'll ride to Lord's Park in Elgin to watch the bike races
there for a bit before returning.
This route will be a first time adventure for many. I've used it often to
get between Schaumburg and Elgin. There will be about half a mile on a
dirt/grass trail between Rt 59 and Shoe Factory Road and the railroad tracks
at the bottom of the hill. We can always walk depending on the condition of
the trail. On the other side of the tracks we'll follow the bike route
through a subdivision. There is a hill there as well.

across from the hospital)
When: Saturday, 5/20, 9 AM. (Please arrive 15 minutes early to sign in and
prepare)
