This week we'll head the other direction (north) from the Elgin library.
Meet at the same place and time. On the way back there will be an option
for a side visit to the Strawberry Fest at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in
Elgin. ($6 for generous strawberry shortcake or sundae--plus beverage;
funds support local charities/non-profits.)
This is a good early season ride. It is a paved trail. Along the Fox River
it is protected somewhat from windy spring weather. It has easy options for
fewer or more miles as you feel able.
We'll start from the Elgin library at 9:30 AM (please arrive 15 minutes
earlier to sign in and prepare). The library will be open with restrooms
available. We'll head north along the Fox River Trail. We'll take things
easy for this ride. No one will be left behind. Let me know you are coming
so I don't leave without you. Temps should be in the upper 60's for our
ride with light wind.
