Join us for a ride on the Illinois Prairie Path on Saturday, May 3. We'll start at James "Pate" Philip State Park in Bartlett and ride to Kline Creek Farm in West Chicago. Distance is 20 miles on limestone trail. Restrooms will be open at both locations. Temps in the 50s are expected. It will probably be breezy, but the trail is sheltered. Route is flat except for a couple of overpasses. It is an out and back, so you can ride any distance you are comfortable with before returning. This is a causal speed ride. No one will be left behind.
Please arrive 15 minutes early to prepare.
Reminders: Helmets are expected safety gear. Bike must be in reasonable condition. Guests are welcome to join us for one ride but are expected to join the club for additional rides (insurance requirements). Fountains may be disabled so bring enough water. Please carry emergency contact info.
Starting Location:
James "Pate" Philip State Park (Stearns Road a little over 2 miles west of Route 59. We'll start from the parking lot at the picnic area. Try 2050 W Stearns Rd, Bartlett. But it may not work for all GPS units.)
