Join us for a ride on Saturday, 7/25 on the Des Plaines River Trail between Half Day Forest Preserve and Independence Grove in Lake County. The Des Plaines River Trail is good quality limestone. Mostly flat with a couple hills and under/overpasses. Vault toilets at Half Day preserve and flush bathrooms at Independence Grove. (There may be flush toilets somewhere at Half Day preserve.) Meet at the first parking lot on the right as you enter the preserve.
Casual ride. No one left behind.
Please arrive 15 minutes early to prepare.
Reminders: Helmets are expected safety gear. Bike must be in reasonable condition. Guests are welcome to join us for one ride but are expected to join the club for additional rides (insurance requirements). Fountains may be disabled so bring enough water. Please carry emergency contact info.
Starting Location:
Half Day Forest Preserve (24255 IL-21, Vernon Hills) Traffic light on IL-21 just north of IL-22 (Half Day Rd) Meet in the first parking lot.
